EBC ROXX GETS READY FOR THE NEXT ROUND

Overwhelming power and incredible energy are the basic elements in motor racing and in rock music. ELA, J.R. Blackmore and Tony Carey succeeded to implement this fascinating power mix musically as perfectly as no other artist has done before. They founded their own racing team: EBC ROXX. After releasing their first single "Silver Arrows" the band project is following up with an album featuring 12 power tracks entitled "Winners". "Winners" by EBC ROXX will be released on 17th September 2010.

STARTING WITH THE NEW MERCEDES SILVER ARROW

At the end of November 2009 Mercedes announced that after 55 years they will return to the motor racing champions league, Formula 1, with their own racing team. For Tony Carey this was the spark he had been waiting for quite some time. Having played live at one of the Formula 1 races before, the time had come for Carey to start a motor racing project: A silver arrow anthem to accompany the first race of Mercedes Formula 1 pilots Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg. In order to put together a proficient team for the project he got fellow musicians ELA and J.R. Blackmore on board. The single "Silver Arrows" was released in March 2010.

TAKE OFF WITH THE ALBUM "WINNERS"

Now the musical racing project EBC ROXX is really taking off with 11 brand new songs. "Winners", a complex and pedigreed rock’n’race album, will be released on 17th September 2010. Tony Carey (keyboards and vocals) and J.R. Blackmore (guitar) who worked together as a song writing team on "Silver Arrows" for the first time changed into higher gear on "Winners". ELA of course added even more speed to it.

The songs of the album "Winners" not only talk about Formula 1 ("Silver Arrow" and "Big Livin"), but generally about living in the fast lane on two or four wheels. "Winners" is about the bright side "Your Last Dance" and the dark side of motor racing. The two "Drivin’ songs" as well as the opener "Rolling" depict the intoxication caused by speed. "Fly" is dedicated to the legendary speed weeks of the Bonneville salt flats (USA). "Red Dirt Devils" is about the thunderous motocross bikers.

As a musical guideline Carey and Blackmore stuck with the classic power hard rock they had previously enjoyed worldwide success with, both with Richie Blackmore’s Rainbow and most recently with Over The Rainbow.
