Tony Carey on tour from 1st of Sept. 2007 !
The legend lives on ...............................!
"An Evening With Tony Carey"
Tony Carey just doesn’t stop. Not even 30 years as a stage musician have slowed him down as his barnstormer "Fire Still Burns" solo tour in the spring of 2007 proved. Covering Germany, Switzerland and Sweden, the tour proved that the popularity of the former Rainbow and Maffay keyboarder has never waned.
Tony is building on this great start with a new programme from Autumn 2007 onward, "An Evening With Tony Carey". The new concept is an informal evening of great ballads and greatest hits, all in a relaxed, easy-going framework the very best of Tony Carey, close enough to touch! Essentials such as "Room With A View" and "Fine Fine Day" will be joined by a host of Tony’s other songs. The intimate, pared-down presentations of "Burning Bridges", "Blue Highway" and "Bedtime Story" are living proof of Tony’s ability to fascinate loyal fans and win new ones, armed with no more than a piano, a guitar and a microphone. No musical safety-nets here Tony uses his unique appeal and places his musical soul in the hands of his audience. The enthusiasm that greets him is confirmation of his success. "An Evening With Tony Carey" from autumn 2007, presents familiar songs old and new and 100% Tony Carey!
Tony Carey is currently playing with Lesley Mandoki’s SOULMATES in a line-up including Chris Thomson (Earth Band), Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Gary Brooker (Procol Harum), Bobby Kimball (Toto), Peter Frampton, Eric Burdon and many more.
Tony Carey acted as producer for stars including Joe Cocker, Chris Norman, Peter Maffay, Klaus Lage, David Knopfler, Eric Burdon, John Mayall and Anne Haigis.
On request also with band and musical contemporaries / Special Guest programme!
